Little Lambs in Reykjavik

The sheeps of the Reykjavik Zoo & Family Park have begun giving birth to lambs this summer. The sheep Yggla was the first to have two little lambs last night, one spotted and one black. The father, Mjolnir, is expecting to have more lambs as there are nine sheeps in the park, all of which are pregnant. According to the park, the last births should be sometime in the end of the month, around the same time as the Reykjavik Zoo & Family Park celebrates it's 20th anniversary on the 19th of May.

Blue Lagoon receives a grant from the National Ene 14.6.2009
The Blue Lagoon has received a research grant from the National Energy fund to study the utilization of carbon dioxide from the HS Orka geothermal energy plant in Svartsengi to grow micro algae.
