In Fagravik, located 4 km north of Akureyri, are twelve cottages.
One cottage for 12 persons with 4 bedrooms, two cottages for 9 persons with 3 bedrooms, one cottage for 8 persons with 3 bedrooms, six cottages for 6 persons with 2 bedrooms and two cottages for 3 persons, studio. Hot tub comes with every cottage.
The cottages are located in Fagravik bay, in nice surroundings. Bird life is rich and fishing is an option.
The area also offers various trails where you can walk in unspoiled nature and on the beach.
Skiing places:
Short drive from Fagravik are two very good skiing resorts, in
Hlidarfjall west of Akureyri and in
Dalvik.
Fishing:
Only few minutes walk from
Fagravik cottages is the ocean see where you can fish trout and enjoy the outdoors in beautiful surroundings and fresh air.
Golf:
Close by is a very good golf course,
Jadar where golf club of Akureyri runs an 18 hole golf course.Other choises are golf course at Dalvik and Olafsfjordur.
Outdoors: By the cottages is a playground for children. Ideal is for the family to take walking trips to the beach, or enjoy quality time together in beautiful nature or watch bird life.
Those who choose to clime mountains should check Kerlingu, graceful mountain above the farm Grund. From Kerlingu, witch is 1536m. is a good view over the highland, to glaciers and to Myvatn.
To walk to Kerlingu it is convenient to leave from Finnastodum farm. The trip takes around 4 - 5 hours.
