The Hotel Viking has 42 well-furnished and luxurious rooms with private bath, WC, TV and wireless Internet in every room. The rooms are decorated according to a West Nordic and Viking theme. Fine arts and crafts from Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands greet you as you enter the hotel. The hotel has an elevator, as well as a hot tub and sauna.
Our well-known ‘Viking kidnappings’ for groups take place in an annex to the hotel known as The Cave. These events are well organized and managed by our Vikings in unique surroundings. Thor, our god of thunder, speaks to participants and puts on a thunder and lightning show in The Cave.
The Viking restaurant easily seats 380 guests and is like stepping into a past world. It has Viking-style décor and we offer true Viking feasts with traditional meals served in old-fashioned Viking-style troughs. During these famous feasts there is never a dull moment and guests are entertained by our singing Valkyries and Vikings.
Every June we host the Viking Festival, during which over 100 Vikings from Europe come and stay in the Viking village for two weeks. Fun and good times are our motto, all in the spirit of the Vikings.
Hotel Viking is open all year round, and our restaurants close only on christmas eve and new years eve.
